About Me
I was born and grew up in Tondo - the most densely populated place in the Philippines with over 600,000 people. I spent my childhood in the streets of Tondo. I've finished my grade school at Gen. M. Hizon Elementary School and my secondary school at Tondo High School. I've studied Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) major in Marketing at Eulogio "Amang" Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) in Nagtahan, Sampaloc, Manila. I also took up Teacher Certificate Program and Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) where I passed said board exam in 2013. I've continued my studies in Master in Business Administration (MBA) but only finished halfway of the course.
I've worked in different companies and organizations in my 18 years of professional experience. I've worked as Marketing Manager at Philippine Wine Merchants (2003-2009), College Professor at EARIST and different private colleges (2010-2015) and Social Welfare Assistant at DSWD-NCR (2016).
I've started to blog in 2015 through Dance PH, a Facebook page for the Filipino dance community. It reached over 145,000 followers mostly dancers in 3 years. Companies such as Media Blitz, Isuzu Philippines, SM Supermalls and SamYang Philippines started to message us and ask to organize dance competitions for them. Our first-ever event was a 3-day dance competition at SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City in October 2016. SM Supermalls conducted series of dance competitions in different mall venues from 2017 to 2019 through us. Sam Yang Spicy Noodles also tapped us to conduct dance competition at University Belt in 2018.
In December 2016, I have decided to put up an event management company which eventually called MNLPH Events Management. Our main events are, of course, dance competitions. Two nationwide dance competitions are being held every year - Dance Nation Philippines and Campus Dance Drive.
By the year 2017, When In Tondo was born since I managed my business at home. It became popular as I create contents that is close to the heart of our people. Since then, over 100 small businesses are partnering with us to promote their products and shops to us.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our events company was temporarily closed. We still pursuing to live a normal life in a not so normal world today. But the grace of God, we will rise and achieve our dreams to become the biggest production company in Tondo and beyond. We will focus on creating quality contents in different social media platforms and our own website. We will pursue to acquire professional camera and equipment for our events and vlogging requirements.
I am also supporting an advocacy for the youth of Tondo through Tondo Youth Pataas. We helped young people to develop their talents and personality by engaging them in dance, trainings and competitions. We manage dance groups and boy groups such as Soul Extreme Crew, TeenZtars, TeenZone Dance Company and Boyz of Summer.
And we cannot do this alone. It is the support of the people and the grace of God why we are still here. All praises to Him!!!
